Can I learn to cook and style online?
You can definitely learn to cook and style online. However, in order to learn the skills you should also practice in your own kitchen.

What will I learn in the food styling module?
You will learn about color theory, how to choose and combine colors for your dishes. How to place different items on the plate. Visual triangle rules. The rule of odd numbers. How to choose the right kind of plate for your dish. Twisting technique and many tips and tricks about how to succeed with your styling.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, you will receive a certificate on the course after passing the exam. It will be provided to you as a PDF so that you can easily forward it to your potential employers.

What is the passing grade for the exam?
The passing grade is 75% for the exam. In the different modules you will receive downloadable worksheets with questions for you to study before the exam.

What equipment will I need?
• A basic set of pots • A basic set of pans • Standard kitchenware • Standard bakeware • Baking molds (description of the molds that I’m using under the recipes) • Squeezing bottle (optional but recommended) • Mixing bowls • Containers • Serving plates • Mandolin • Pasta machine or rolling pin • Blender • Electric mixer • Smoke gun (recommended, but possible to use liquid smoke) • Food grade syringe (for making the molecular spaghetti) • Silicone tube (for making the molecular spaghetti) • Pipette (optional but recommended) • Foam machine (recommended, but possible to use a hand blender) • Slotted spoon (recommended, but possible to use a normal spoon)

Am I responsible for acquiring all of the equipments and ingredients?
All students are expected to provide their own equipments, ingredients, and work space.

How many hours a week should I spend on the course?
Students are responsible for their own pace. The lessons can be completed at a speed that feels most comfortable to the student. You decide yourself how many recipes and styling you apply in the kitchen. The more you practice in the kitchen, the more time it takes, and you will become better and more confident in the cooking and styling.
